11-Year-Old Shoots Repeated Home Intruder in Talledega

TALLEDEGA, ALABAMA (via insider.foxnews.com) April 29, 2016 – An 11-year-old boy shot an alleged home intruder in Talladega, Alabama, and now he’s speaking out about the incident.

Chris Gaither told WVTM that he was home alone on Wednesday when someone broke into his house and walked up the stairs.

Chris grabbed a nine-millimeter handgun and called out for the man to get out of his house.

He said the burglar walked downstairs and threatened him before heading outside with a clothes hamper in hand.

“He told me he was going to kill me, f-you and all that,” Chris said.

After the intruder made it out the front door carrying the hamper, Chris opened fire. He fired 12 shots at the burglar, but only the last bullet hit him.

“I shot through the hamper he was carrying. It was a full metal jacket bullet. It went straight through the back of his leg. He started crying like a little baby,” Chris said.

“I hope you learn your lesson coming to this house, trying to steal stuff.”

Police said the intruder, who has not been identified, will survive and will likely face charges.
