Recall Database

Laceration & Sharp-Edge Hazards Recalls

This hub groups 62 records — 56 CPSC and 6 FDA — for laceration and sharp-edge hazards: blades, sharp edges, breakage that leaves a cutting surface, and impalement or puncture risks. These are the same cut-and-sever mechanisms 411 Press covers in workplace-injury reporting, here on the consumer-product side.

Search this hub to check a recalled tool, blade, or product that can cut. The records frequently overlap with impact-and-crush and fall-and-tip-over tags, because a product that breaks can injure more than one way.

The notices span 2023–2026. Every row links to the CPSC or FDA notice with the recall reason and the remedy.

How this hub is built. This page groups the 62 recall records that 411 Press classifies as Laceration & Sharp-Edge Hazards. Each record gets one primary hazard from a fixed, published rule set (taxonomy version 2026-07-28.C2.2 — this stamp marks when the classification rules last changed, not how current the recall data is; data currency is stated below). A record can carry secondary hazard tags but appears on only one hub. Regulators in this hub: CPSC (56), FDA (6). These notices were published 2023–2026. This is not an all-time archive — it is the current dataset, drawn from CPSC, FDA, and NHTSA notices and refreshed as new notices are ingested from the agency feeds, so it grows over time. A note on counting. This hub counts RECORDS, not recall events. The agencies package recalls differently — NHTSA issues one record per safety campaign, the CPSC one per recall, the FDA one per affected product line — so an FDA-heavy hub carries more product-line records per underlying recall than a CPSC or NHTSA one. Records here are grouped by hazard; the brand hubs, which rank companies, count by event instead. Every row links to the original agency notice. The agency's record is the authority; the hazard grouping is ours. For a small number of records the agency feed's own hazard text did not pass our integrity check; those rows read "See the agency notice for the hazard description" and link straight to the source, rather than show a summary we can't stand behind.

  • FDAClass I

    Omnipod (Eros) Pod

External soft cannula damage during manufacturing that results in insulin leaking around the Pod instead of being delivered to the user regardless of basal or bolus delivery. The primary failure mode is pump under-delivery due to loss of insulin to an external leak. If insulin is not delivered properly, users may experience high blood glucose levels due to under-delivery of insulin. In the most severe cases, prolonged and persistent high blood glucose levels can lead to diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome (HHS), or even death.

Brand Name: Dexcom ONE+ Continuous Glucose Monitoring System Product Name: Dexcom ONE+ iOS CGM App Model/Catalog

A software defect in which a low-priority file I/O check blocks the higher-priority thread responsible for processing estimated glucose values (EGVs) and trend arrows. When the app is running in the background, EGV notifications may queue up and then "replay" sequentially when the user brings the app to the foreground, causing the Glucose Compass to flicker through previous EGVs. In more severe instances, the app may perceive signal loss and deploy signal loss mitigations. This delay in EGV and alert processing creates a risk that users may miss detection of a hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic event, or make treatment decisions based on outdated glucose information.
