Recall Database

Recalls by Company

Some manufacturers show up in the recall record often enough to warrant their own page. This section collects the 25 with the most recall activity in the current dataset — 698 records in all — so you can see everything tied to one company in one place. It runs from automakers like Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler through medical-device and pharmaceutical firms like Medline, Stryker, and Teva. Read the count for what it is: a measure of how much recall activity fell inside the ingestion window, not a ranking of which company is least safe. Larger manufacturers with more products and more vehicles on the road file more recalls; a long list is often a sign of an active recall program, not the opposite. A brand earns a hub at 15 or more records for consumer and medical firms, or 10 or more for automakers, where a single defect can span an entire model year. Two things worth knowing before you read a brand page. First, records are grouped by a normalized company name and corporate families are not merged unless the agency data says so, so a parent and a subsidiary can appear separately. Second, nearly every brand here is regulated by a single agency; only Medline (CPSC and FDA) and Tesla (CPSC and NHTSA) span two. Pick a brand to see its full record, each row linked to the original agency notice.
