The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on June 18, 2026 that approximately 3,700 Veseacky children's pajama sets have been recalled because they violate the mandatory flammability standard for children's sleepwear under 16 CFR Part 1615/1616, posing a risk of serious burn injury or death.

The CPSC has received no reports of incidents or injuries associated with the recalled pajamas.

What to do if you have these pajamas

Consumers should stop using the recalled pajama sets immediately. To receive a full refund, contact Veseacky by email at Veseackypajamarecall@outlook.com. As part of the refund process, consumers will be asked to destroy the pajamas by cutting them in half and send a photograph of the destroyed set to the company before the refund is processed.

The flammability standard

Federal law has required children's sleepwear to meet mandatory flame-resistance or tight-fit standards since the 1970s. The standard — administered by the CPSC under 16 CFR Parts 1615 and 1616 — requires that children's sleepwear either be made of flame-resistant fabric or be tight-fitting, which reduces the risk of ignition from open flames or other heat sources.

Children's sleepwear that fails to meet this standard can ignite and burn faster, increasing the risk of serious burns if a child is exposed to a heat source.

The CPSC enforces mandatory children's sleepwear flammability standards strictly. Multiple recalls in 2026 have involved children's sleepwear found to violate these standards. On the same day as the Veseacky recall, SHEIN Distribution Corporation announced a separate recall of approximately 160 units of Michley-branded children's pajamas, also for violating the mandatory sleepwear flammability standard.

Flammability-standard recalls are not limited to sleepwear. Earlier in 2026, the CPSC recalled Avenco and Novilla mattresses for violating the separate federal flammability standard for mattresses (16 CFR Part 1633).

Check your children's sleepwear

Compliant sleepwear carries a label: flame-resistant pajamas note the flame-resistant treatment, and tight-fitting sets are labeled "Wear snug-fitting, not flame resistant." If a child's pajamas have neither, they may not meet the federal standard.
