The Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled about 8,981 DUMOS Nine-Drawer Fabric Dressers on August 13 over tip-over and entrapment hazards to children.
The dressers were sold exclusively on Amazon.com from December 2025 through June 2026 for approximately $54 each. They are available in white, black, gray, and brown. The dressers feature LED lights and built-in power outlets. The manufacturer is Jiangsu Jiayubo Furniture Co., Ltd., based in China.
The Hazard
The dressers are unstable when not anchored to a wall, posing a tip-over risk and the potential for a child to become entrapped. The CPSC said the product violates the mandatory standard for clothing storage units established under the STURDY Act.
No incidents or injuries have been reported.
What to Do
Consumers should immediately stop using the dresser if it has not been anchored to a wall and move it out of the reach of children. To receive a full refund, DUMOS is asking consumers to destroy the dresser by cutting the drawers in half, writing "RECALLED" on it in permanent marker, and emailing a photo of the destroyed dresser to dumosdresserrecall@dumos.com. Complete remedy details are available on the CPSC recall notice at cpsc.gov.
The recall follows the August 6 CPSC recall of HARPPA Nordi Toddler Tower Stools over entrapment and fall hazards.
