Panasonic Recalls 11,480 NB-G200 Toaster Ovens for Fire and Shock Hazard; Full Refund Offered
Panasonic is recalling about 11,480 NB-G200 toaster ovens for a power cord insulation defect that poses electric shock or fire risks. The remedy is a full refund. The ovens were sold at Amazon, Costco, and Panasonic.com.

Panasonic Corporation of North America is recalling about 11,480 electric toaster ovens in the United States, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, after determining that the power cord insulation on the affected units may be insufficient.
The recall covers the NB-G200 model toaster oven, a stainless steel countertop appliance. A protective fiberglass sleeve on the power cord may not fully cover the cord, the CPSC said in the July 16 notice, creating a potential risk of electric shock or fire.
What to do
Consumers should stop using the recalled oven immediately and contact Panasonic for a full refund.

Incidents
Panasonic received four reports of tripped circuit breakers or outlets and one report of a toaster oven that stopped working, according to the CPSC notice. No fires and no injuries have been reported.
Where the oven was sold
The NB-G200 was sold online at Amazon, Costco, Panasonic.com, and other websites from October 2024 through April 2026, at a price of approximately $170. About 2,184 additional units were sold in Canada and are subject to a parallel Health Canada recall.
